Ekamuthu Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Ekamuthu is a player app for discovering courts, booking play time, joining games, managing friends, and receiving game-related notifications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

We collect account information you provide, such as your name, username, email address, phone number, skill class, language preference, profile details, and sign-in credentials.

If you use Google sign-in or Apple sign-in, we receive the authentication information needed to create or access your Ekamuthu account, such as your email address and account identifier from that provider.

We collect information related to phone verification, including your phone number and one-time verification code activity. We also store secure authentication tokens on your device so you can stay signed in.

We collect app activity needed to operate the service, including bookings, game participation, invitations, join requests, recurring bookings, player reviews, cancellations, no-show records, friends, friend requests, notifications, and account deletion requests.

If you enable notifications, we collect and store a push notification token for your device so that we can send booking, invite, game reminder, and account-related notifications.

Ekamuthu lets you choose courts and areas where you want to play. We may store your selected home area or court preferences. The app does not collect continuous GPS location or background location tracking.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to create and secure your account, verify your phone number, show courts and games, process bookings, manage game invitations and friend connections, maintain player trust signals, and send relevant notifications.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or selling personal information.

4. User-Generated Content and Social Features

Ekamuthu includes player profiles, friend features, invitations, game participation details, reviews, and other social interactions. Information you add or generate in these features may be visible to other players, court administrators, or system administrators where needed to operate games and keep the service trustworthy.

5. Service Providers

We use service providers to operate the app, including hosting and database providers, Apple and Google sign-in services where used, SMS or phone verification providers, and push notification delivery services such as Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Expo push notification services.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Ekamuthu.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, booking, game, notification, and safety records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain accurate court and game history.

7. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Ekamuthu account from the app profile area. For booking integrity, you may need to leave or clear active games and recurring bookings before deletion can be completed. You can also review our account deletion instructions.

When an account is deleted, we deactivate the account and remove or anonymize personal profile details where practical. Some records may be retained when needed for completed bookings, safety, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for communication with our backend services and store authentication tokens using secure platform storage where available. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Children

Ekamuthu is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
